Manufactured Landscapes by Jennifer Baichwal, a feature length documentary on the world and work of renowned artist Edward Burtynsky. Burtynsky makes large-scale photographs of ‘manufactured landscapes’ – quarries, recycling centres, factories, mines, dams. The film follows Burtynsky to China as he travels the country photographing the evidence and effects of that country’s massive industrial revolution. Well worth a look.

Joel Meyerowitz, FORMAT11 exhibitor and Patron talks to Leica Portraits about his work, life and photography.

“We think of photography as pictures. And it is. But I think of photography as ideas. And do the pictures sustain your ideas or are they just good pictures?
